Lyme Regis - West Bay This is a rugged section with plenty for the fossil collector, also containing Golden Cap - the highest point on the entire South Coast. |

West Bay - Abbotsbury Gets gentler as you go along. Abbotsbury itself is a lovely picture postcard village. |
Abbotsbury - Weymouth This is a relatively flat walk along the brackish lagoon known as the Fleet. There is an alternative inland route which runs from West Bexington to Osmington. |

Weymouth - Kimmeridge This can be strenuous in places, but the stretch from Ringstead to Durdle Door is my personal favourite. After Lulworth you enter the Army Firing Ranges which can be closed at times. Check ahead. |

Kimmeridge - Swanage Strenuous but beautiful. Very hard to get near this stretch by public transport - but worth the effort. |
Swanage - Sandbanks The final section passing the old Purbeck Stone quarries, Swanage and finally Old Harry Rocks and Studland beach. |
