The beach at West Bay and East Cliff.

West Bay has seen a significant growth in tourism recently as a result of being known as Bridehaven in the BBC television series called Harbour Lights.

Another view of East Cliff.

Further along the coast at Burton Bradstock, the cliffs were used in training for the D-Day invasion.

Burton Bradstock is a good place to stop for refreshment.

A view along Chesil Beach. It is said that when fishermen land on the beach at night they can tell where they are by the size of the pebbles.

You can walk along the beach, but its hard work after a while.

A solitary boat on the beach.

A visit to the Chesil is well worth it in a storm, as the steeply shelving beach leads to some good waves. Not safe for swimming here, but a good place for fishing.

There are some nice plants on the beach, suited to the shingle environment.

This is a Yellow Horned Poppy which is typically found in areas like the Chesil.
